From Versailles, Indiana, I grew up a very“active” child. I was a track & field athlete in high

school and graduated in 2002. I remained activewhen I joined the Army, went to college,

went to two wars, went back to college, racedbicycles, started a family, earned degrees and certifications, coachedthousands of people, and co-founded The Arsenal with Brian J. McKay.

My passion came through when studying exercisethrough science in 2007 as more of a

personal interest rather than an intendedcareer path. I used my knowledge to train a small

group of soldiers to prepare for their physicalfitness test. Early success led to winning Solider of the Year honors andtraining soldiers for the upcoming year’s competition. These soldiersaccomplished several competitive victories and heroic missions. This trainingmade me realize my love for coaching.

Goals
